Project overview work is currently underway on geological and hydrodynamic modeling and development planning for Khamad Partners in the southeastern part of the Pre-Caspian Basin. The field is characterized by complex geological conditions, including numerous faults, stratigraphic unconformities, high reservoir heterogeneity, and low aquifer activity.
The team is developing a high-resolution geological and hydrodynamic model using specialized software solutions. As of today, a geological model of the field has been constructed, which has significantly refined the geological structure of the reservoir and provided a more detailed assessment of the initial reserves for each layer and block. The next phase involves building a dynamic simulation model to develop an optimal field development strategy, enabling more efficient and data-driven investment and operational planning for geological and technical activities.
Key Achievements
- Refinement of the field’s geological structure through detailed layer-to-layer correlation, taking into account formation pinch-outs and numerous tectonic faults.
- Preparation of a detailed oil and gas reserves report, which served as the foundation for significant adjustments to the Client’s investment decisions.
- Comprehensive analysis of existing well performance and the development of practical recommendations for geological and technical measures, allowing the Client to optimize operational expenditures and improve field efficiency
