The company has completed a comprehensive study and development planning project for Absolute Oil in the southeastern part of the Pre-Caspian Basin. The field has been under development for more than nine years and is characterized by complex geological conditions, including multiple faults, a mixed fluid system, and a limited amount of available data.
An analysis of several development scenarios was carried out, resulting in the identification of a strategy potentially capable of significantly increasing production and the oil recovery factor through the application of modern drilling techniques.
Key Achievements
- Refinement of the field’s geological model through comprehensive reprocessing of all available geological and geophysical data, followed by the preparation of a reserves report for oil and dissolved gas.
- Assessment of multiple development scenarios identified an optimal strategy demonstrating the potential to double production through the implementation of horizontal drilling and sidetracking technologies, including horizontal completions
Feedback
This field presented one of the most complex geological challenges, characterized by numerous faults, a limited data set, and a diverse fluid system. Through an integrated approach and close collaboration, we developed a development plan that unlocks significant remaining potential while ensuring economic efficiency throughout the production period
